Class Description:Architecture is an integral aspect of our existence and is one of the purest forms of design as it combines purpose and functionality with artistic and aesthetic beauty. This class will take students through the entire process of creating architectural designs for concept art from initial research and sketching, to callouts and final renders. We will be covering a broad spectrum of period and culture-specific architectural styles to help inform and inspire students to then create their own designs. The 10-week class structure is aimed to give students the opportunity to create portfolio-appropriate projects, and give the students an understanding of the true power of architecture design!
Prerequisite : some basic knowledge of 3d program (blender, 3dsmax, maya..etc) is a plus, Intro to Digital Painting

Mark Castanon is a lead concept artist at People Can Fly. He has worked for clients such as Sony Santa Monica on the God of War series, Crystal Dynamics on the Tomb Raider series and also Rhythm and Hues for various movies. Mark has been teaching in the LA area for the past few years.
